Synopsis
Follows Caden Vance, a brilliant neuroscientist with a terminal illness. To shield his reporter girlfriend Sloane from the perils of his consciousness-upload research, he coldly ends their relationship, then seals his own consciousness inside a service android moments before he dies. Sloane unexpectedly buys the android at a robotics expo and names him Ice. As they live and work side by side, Ice gradually learns human emotions, and his unconscious slips of private, shared memories pull the two closer through push-pull tension and growing affection. When the mysterious Dr. Walter Kane schemes to seize the chip to resurrect his sister, Ice ultimately sacrifices himself to protect Sloane and save the orphans stranded on the front line, fulfilling a promise that transcends life and death.
